Eric Fair will demonstrate the scanners that are available in the archives free for public use. Digital storage of family photo collections is important to both beginner and experienced researchers, so an expert demonstration will help us all.

It is an exiciting new resource that is being upgraded regularly and she has agreed to teach us how to use it as easily as she does.

Planning a Genealogy Trip to the U. I. Library Stacks (Membership Meetings)

Take advantage of this opportunity to learn about this valuable local research resource in the U. of I. Library stacks. We will be gathering at the Archives in The Urbana Free Library for a brief business meeting, after which we will be leaving for the U.I. Library. People who do not wish to drive can use the meeting night to find a ride with someone who is driving. We hope to be at the U.I. Library by 7:30 pm. Cherie Weible will give us a brief lecture and a tour of the stacks.
People should feel free to meet the group at the U.I. Library if they do not want to meet at The Urbana Free Library.
